Revolution Hall

Revolution Hall

Revolution Hall is hands down our favorite venue in Portland. Founded in 1906 as Eastside High, the building has a storied past including a fire that destroyed most of the original space in 1924 and several notable Alumnus such as James Beard and Nobel Prize-winning chemist Linus Pauling.

But what Bump appreciates most about Rev Hall is the performance space. This plush theater seats over 800 between its main floor and balcony, and most shows will remove seats from the pit to allow for dancing. Two exits per level ensure there are no traffic jams as fans refresh their beverages at the upstairs, downstairs OR rooftop bars, and the sound is always phenomenal. Make sure to get there early enough to claim a seat with your jacket before dusting off your dancing shoes.

In the summer months the rooftop bar is one of the best places in the city to enjoy a beverage and a view. Be warned, it fills up. Walk your dog in the park on the building’s grounds and enjoy some great dive-bar action up the street at Hungry Tiger.
